Hello, Does any one know how to get the quick connect fitting off the lower transmission line to the radiator?

Thanks

's part way down that page. All you need to do is move the littlespring out of the way. I just rotated the coller a bit and grabbed itwith a fingernail.

You can use a bit of stiff plastic, just form it around the line and press it into the disconnect, that moves the springs out of the way. The tool used is here.

Thanks Doug.. NAPA had kit for 7 bucks works good.

145000 miles and original radiator. For some odd reason the job was more difficult as the OEM service manual was out to lunch on some things, first time that happened. Went to Advanced Auto and got radiator, got home took out and a big Made in China...oh well, then as I took it out it was already rusting on the lower support and instead of a strap or OEM wire it has cheap studs with nuts, 2 were already off... What a peice of s***. Guy says no radiators are made in USA. Drove to Napa and paid 174.00 instead of 139.00, Modine Made in USA and yes a big difference, straps holding together and thicker metal. Just felt right... Had to bugar the isolators that are on top of condenser as the bolts will just spin the rubber bottom. Glued and peiced together. Threads on top tranny line were very rusted but luckily after cleaning (tube taped) and scraping managed to get a thread and squeek it on....

Damn 2 hour job took 6..

Thanks again..
