I just took the beater out on my old logging road to see what it can do. Didn't get far before the all season stock size tires let me down on a sharp but small incline. The ground is covered in wet leaves and right under them some relatively firm dirt. I was pretty damn disappointed as I lost traction and then got _barely_ stuck (really just had no traction in that spot and got unstuck easily) as the wheels settled into some existing ruts. I noticed that only the rear tire was actually spinning... nothing from the front. I tried 4H and 4L and neither seemed to get me anything from the front tires.
The crank case seems to shift fine, I could tell from the difference in RPM vs Speed that I was obviously in 4L, 4H and 2wd when I shifted and no odd noises. So why didn't I get anything from the front wheels?
This is an 88 YJ with d30 and d35.
