I changed out my alt With a brand new alt just for preventive maint and now it will not charge.I read somewhere that the regulator is part of the ecu or ecm.Could this be part of the problem?
Changed alternator and now won`t charge.

It might help if you give us a slight clue as to what you are driving and the engine....
