My CJ2A has two set of springs on the rear. The normal spring under and its looks like a heavy load spring over set on top of the axle. Was this a factory option for a CJ, or some special thing someone added.

Looks horrible for off-road use!
The coil springs were found on jeeps that had been outfitted with backhoes etc.
Do a web search on "farm jeep"
