Correct Tork socket

I would guess a T-40 Torx head. But I wouldn't start without a set of high quality Torx socket and bit set. And of course an impact driver to start them out with:

On a vehicle that old, I would start with penetrating oil. And I would give it a week or so to soak in.

BTW, that is definately a T-40 Like Bill says, buy a high-quality set. Even if you only use it a few times (unlikley as all cars use them now) a cheap one will deform and ruin the fastener, making an easy job difficult.

Why do you want ot take the hinges off?

If you remove the nuts on the bottom of the hinge pins, the doors can be lifted off and the hinges remain in place.

not all stainless steel is made the same in terms of corrosion ressistance. I have Omix Ada SS hardware (mostly) and the only hint of rust is the disimilair metal corosion where my non-stainless full door hinges hook in to the body SS door hangers. this may not even be dissimilair metal corosion it may just be the powdered rust ground off the door hinge pins staining the SS (I know an oxymoron). Either way it wont amount to anything. My hardware's not polished (I starch blasted it to a matt finish) which I seem to recall makes it thoretically more susceptable to corosion.
