d35 carrier install ?'s

I have a 93yj with the d35 rear end. I bought a used no-slip for the d35 but it turns out it didn't fit my carrier. The person who sold it to me gave me the carrier out of his 93xj with d35. I want to get it installed but the costs so far has been killing me...Now I'm looking at another

150-300 for a gear setup! What is the chance that I can just throw the other carrier in vs. having to have the gears set? Nick

Ya, I'm the reason you found that pic, remember? Well, now the locker fits in the new carrier, I'm just wondering what the chance is at getting away with not setting up the gears. If I have to that's just MORE $$$ Nick

Virtually none. Get the gears set up properly by a competent shop. That is, unless you like the idea of smoking the gears set in about 500 miles.
