Please take a look at this picture:'m trying to finish up fixing my Jeep today. I was putting theu-joint into the yoke. Fits great and the straps fit great but theu-joint came with those 4 brass clip things. I don't see where in theworld to use them. Are they for "some applications" but not mine?'76 CJ5 with dana 20 transfer case. That's what the yoke's going on,the front output of the dana 20 transfer case. Thanks in advance forreplies!

Look at your driveshaft and you'll see that the ends where the new new-jointsgo are closed in (not open and using u-bolts like the yoke), This is becausethe U-joint must be pressed into the driveshaft side first and those roundclips fit in a groove just above the caps. Then, the driveshaft (with yokeattached to the t-case) is attached and bolted like your picture.....go checkout tyour driveshaft and you'll see what I'm talking about.

The prison barber gave me the haircut trimmings the entire 20 years I was in da joint and I hand-wove them into the carpet you see in the picture. I figured that when I got out I might as well have something to show for the time I served other than my nervous habit of leaving fingerprint marks in the soap from squeezing it so hard while I'm in the shower. heh heh... I crack me up. :-)
