emission controles

It varies radically according to where you live what you need.

I have my ignition module wired directly to my distributor so I only need the PCV, canister, egr, air filter flaps and distributor hooked up to pass the visual emissions up here in Canada. I pass the tailpipe emissions easy.

If my YJ ever leaves Alberta I'm hooped. when we installed my header/carb I was a giddy kid pulling those vacuum lines and crapola.

I am in Ontario and on those engines, you only need what I have hooked up. You need the PCV and canister for good running anyway and the hot air intake is sure nice on those -40 days so the carb doesn't turn into a block of ice. A BB in the line fixes the EGR nice....

There really isn't anything else on them that would be noticed in a visual inspection if it was just plain missing....

I get great tailpipe readings and don't even need a CAT on the CJ's.

I spent about two years trying to find all the parts to make my '77 Bug's EGR work. Finally, a company came out with reproductions for the exhaust filter and plumbing, but the price was a killer. I left it blocked off.

I have the PCV and canister thats it though. metal block covering the erg...it was toast anyway

Ohio is discontinuing the EPA's eCheck programs on Dec.31st for all areas except Cleveland/Akron and is exempting cars less than 4 years old there. The $20 fee is to be paid with tobacco money.
