Sounds like a fuel leak or a bad charcoal canister. Either way, try posting in a Chevy group, as they'll be able to answer your question better. Not many of us here run Corsica's.

Check your gas cap. Number one cause. It could be something actually wrong other than the gas cap, but start there.
