grease seal

Oct 10, 2003 2 Replies

i was greasing my 02 TJ today and noticed the upper ball joint seal appeared to be ruptured. grease was coming out as fast as i put it in. should i repair this ASAP or let it go and keep greasing as is.

TIA

That just means it is full.

There is no 'seal' per say on those joints, you put grease in until some comes out.

The sealed ones have a nipple on the side of the boot for the pressure and grease to come out of.
