The TJ is called "little Jeep" and the Waggy is called "big Jeep".
Dave Milne, Scotland '91 Grand Wagoneer, '99 TJ
It was named for me by the guys at work and my sisters-ex-bf...its the "MudBall". (And it says so...right down each side of the hood. LOL.) =)
I call mine "the Jeep." If I'm with my group I call it "my Jeep", cause if I called it "the Jeep" it would confuse everyone because they all drive Jeeps too. Funny thing is when I'm with the group they all call theirs "my Jeep" too. Nobody seems to be confused by this? All day long you'll hear my Jeep broke this, and my Jeep climbed that, or I want to spend money on my Jeep.
I have a Ford and a Honda too. They are called "the Ford" and "the Honda." They had to get names too or they would have been jealous of the Jeep, because it is really the favorite vehicle.

Many think names are silly, but I have often named the vehicles I have really loved, as a token of affection, I guess you could say. Since my Jeep is a very dark metallic purple (Deep Amytehest factory color in 1998) and all accesories I have added are black or dark gray, I named it "Moonshadow" after an old Cat Stevens song from the seventies. The name makes a good CB handle too. I have the name written in fairly small script (1 inch high) on the windshield frame right above the wipers. It can be read from a passing car, but seems more understated than putting it in large letters on the side of the hood.

Nelly Bell after the jeep in the Roy Rodgers show.
Max. I thought he was Mac (after MacGyver, the main reason I fell in love with Jeeps in the first place), but it didn't fit him...

I have a 94XJ in flame red, call it Ruby, was really named by my friends since they are well aware of my obsession in getting the Wrangler Rubicon ed. and since the jeep is red and Rubi form Rubicon has similar spelling to Ruby.. well you get the idea.

Wow, what a flash back I loved Nelly Bell.
First thing that got my hitched on a jeep was Mindy from Mork and Mindy!! lol
So a grasshopper hopped into a bar, sat down, and ordered a beer. The bartender brought his beer and said, "You know, we have a drink named after you."
The grasshopper stared at the bartender for a moment then asked, "Why would anybody name a drink Cecil?"

It depends. Have I just trundled past that Bimmer X5 stuck in the snow, or am I myself stuck and waiting for a lifted SWB to tow me out?
