Injector cleaner fuel additive?

I always thought it was Ford's problem, not Firestone's. Specifying the wrong tire at the wrong inflation is going to fail.

Sounds plausible especially if the got a "deal" on the air. It is well known that both companies will cut any corner to save a fraction of a penny at the expense of consumer safety.

The problem they found with the Canadian Tire air was that it was metric. In some tire sizes metric air, like metric wrenches, can be used but it doesn't always fit correctly.

Ford also put Goodyear Tires on the Explorer as standard equipment built to the same (from Ford) specs inflated to the same (Ford Spec) pressure.

Most of the Firestone's that did fail came from the same manufacturing plant. The Goodyear tires did not fail.

Perhaps they were selling used air as new?

Besides a while ago you claimed it was french air... which comes with both arms in the air.

On another French note: The AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced that it has raised its terror alert level from Run to Hide. The only two higher levels in France are Surrender and Collaborate.
