Jeep Magazine

I just received the current issue of "Jeep" magazine in the mail direct from Chrysler Co. Here are some of the handy "off-roading" tips mentioned in the magazine. I thought you guys would get a kick out of these:

1) Be sure to have your Jeep inspected by your local dealer before and after taking it off-road.

2) An important part of the Jeep Lifestyle is the "Jeep Wave." There are special waves for Libby and GC owners! Chrysler maintains a full reference of jeep wave disagrams at thejeepwave.com

3) Essential off-roading accessories available from Mopar: Car cover, off-road lights, bra, leather driving gloves, Jeep T-shirt.

4) All new Jeep models in the '04 model year (including, presumably, the KJ,) will have a special "off-road tested" nameplate badge bolted on, verifying that they have been certified as Rubicon ready.

Also, there are several photos of bone stock TJs scaling Hell's Revenge and other tough trails at Moab. (Maybe they airlifted them in there with a helicopter?)

Were those "tips" supposed to be funny or were they really serious? Maybe they were just trying to be "cute"?

meek shall inherit the earth. After I'm finished with it.:wq!

Nah...I think that they are making fun at every serious jeeper and everyone in this group. If they were sincere and respected their customers, they would not publish such nonsense.

ROFLMAO!! Never go offroad without your bra and leather driving gloves!!! LOL!

Do da words "lighten up, dude" strike a familiar note?

The jeep wave site is bogus, as out here most V8 GC drivers always have a cellphone in their waving hand.

Oh god, does this mean D-C is going to trademark the Jeep Wave and we'll all have to pay a quarter every time we do it?

Hey! My girlfriend has a problem with waterbars and no bra, a damn waterbar in the shade nearly gave her a black eye last weekend! And, I have leather gloves in my winching goodies box

You'l get sued for executing it improperly

ROFL! I can't typ from the tears in my eyes from crying! never saw that publication but I'll steer clear of it!

Regarding the Jeep Wave: I've been steadily "teaching" the few wrangler owners around here in Northern NH about the Jeep Wave. I've been getting weird looks since I relocated up here in "pickup country" two months ago from the very few Wrangler owners. Now they are starting to come around and actually are excited to see me and wave back!

Sorry XJ owners... Never, ever, saw a wave from you guys b4 so never counted you. No disrespect, My bad I guess.

Cheers!

...and you have to draw the little (tm) on your palm...

Stock Jeeps don't get many waves, no matter what kind they are. KH

I get LOTS of waves in my stock TJ with 31" BFG AT tires.

Must be my magnetic personality. :)
