Can anyone tell me if the 1997 and 1998 Wranglers both came in Chili Pepper Red? I have a 1998 Chili Pepper Red Wrangler and have a chance to purchase some "red" doors unseen. If they are not the same I do not want them.

A body shop should be able to to tell you color schemes for each year and tell you if they will match.
My YJ just got back from the body shop and I'm glad I did it, the rocker panels where rotted out along with holes around each of the flares. This time around I modded the flares so I have no step to trap salt etc.

Yes, I just did some checking and Chili Pepper Red was new for 1998.

If the doors are a good price, why not buy them then have them color matched at a shop?

1998 was the first year for Chili Pepper Red. There is also a Flame red available for those years too. Chili Pepper Red is darker and metal flake while the Flame Red is a lighter red without metal flake. So the quick question to ask your seller is the paint metal flake or not.
