Yes, if it has a Saganaw box.
Nothing internal gets messed with so the box doesn't need setting up for a seal. If you have to set up the box, then it really needs to be in a vise to get it correct. The adjustment is way too touchy for an in 'frame job'.
I had issues with the last TJ one I was helping with. That was only because the shop gave the guy the YJ one piece adjuster plug to replace the 'crappy' two piece one. I couldn't get it seated so we ended up taking it to the shop. The shop had the same trouble and figured the box was bent or the plug seated on rough half cut threads. He did do it for free though...
I am now not worried a bit when it comes time to change mine. It has been seeping about a cup every six months for the last 5 years. Not enough to drip often.
Bill has a good link for a pdf on the TJ box. The settings are the same.
