Congrats on the switch, from another Dvorak user. Now you'll have to tell people when they try to use your computer, "I'm sorry, you can't type on that." ;)

Ok, please enlighten me as to what a Dvorak keyboard layout is...

Well the qwerty keyboard (what you are currently usin) was originally designed to slow typists down so the keys opn the old typewriter wopuld not jam. The dvorak layout is an optimized key layout with all the most commonly used letters in teh home row. Thus once learned it is a much faster method. Do a quick search on the web and you will puill up lots of information.

BTW how can the first *5* letters be qwerty ????????

No. First DVORAK is six letters, not five. Second. Where your's says QWERTY, mine says ',.py instead. THAT is a DVORAK keyboard.

For more info you can look at "

"or search google for "dvorak keyboard layout". If you ever try it you'll never go back to qwerty. DVORAK is DEFINITELY the way to go.

The Dvorak keyboard was named after its inventor.
