The shafts are the same size as D44 shafts, and something like 31 spline.

Still stuck with the smaller carrier and C-clip design.

I don't say I believe it, I only said the mfg makes the claim.

I don't think the Super35s have the c-clip because the kit includes a locker of some sort, and this can mean the clips are no used anymore.

Yeah, they're still there, but the Detroit has a retaining device that's supposed to keep them from popping off. (...sure!) A buddy who's wife resists any moneyt spent on his YJ which she can't see the result of, which includes a new 44 for the rear, decided to install one of these Super 35 kits. We'll see how it goes at Moab next week, but I already have him convinced to bring a jack, oil, c-clips and a tow strap! (I think he'll be fine, but don't let on.)

Hey Jeff.

The Super kits retain the C-clip, same as a Detroit, OX, or ARB for a standard D35C.

Using a locker wouldn't eliminate the C-clips...you'd need ot convert to pressed on bearings, retainers, backing plates, etc, etc.
