Are sail cloth softops a standard item on all new TJs?

Sail cloth? Is that a buzz word? I suspect you mean marine grade canvas like Sunbrella? It isn't in any way made for sails - they are made of dacron or nylon.
Sunbrella is great stuff - durable and fade resistant.

Sail Cloth is Bestop's 4-layer material that is standard on 2001 and newer Wranglers and also available as a replacement top. It's MUCH quieter than other fabrics, almost as quiet as the hardtop. It's really good stuff.

You ain't kidding! I replaced my '99 soft top with a Bestop Sailcloth top and I can't BELIEVE the difference!!!!!!
