secure sound bar with top off?

any tips to secure sound bar when top is off? or if they want it , they get it.? thanks casca

Mount the bar using screws with a security head if you are really concerned. Beyond that, there's nothing you can do. I'm sure it has happened but I've never heard of one being stolen.

My '02 TJ has torx head bolts holding the sound bar in. That may not be the most secure thing in the world, but I can't see a theif running to Sears to grab a new driver just to steal a couple of crappy OEM speakers. Now, if you've spent some change upgrading, you may wish to go for the security screws....

But, then again, I live in Iowa. The only thing stolen around here is the money farmers take from the government. (...donning flame-resistant suit....)

If you are putting serious dollars into an aftermarket stereo, a hardtop and alarm are your best bet for keeping it secure.
