So.. new tires from Hibdon/Tires-Plus, but they are wearing on the outside edge. not good for only 200 miles.

They did the alignment, they did it _WRONG_, so I take it back. Three hours later they get to the ZJ and proclaim it fine. Yea, fine, I can see the Caster angle showing as 4 deg. Vehicle spec is 6.5-7.5 degrees.

So now they set about fixing what they should have in the first place. But try as they might they can only get 3.2 degrees

hold on.. you would think if they had 4 and now had 3.2 AFTER rotating the caster adjustment forward.....

Well... How can you get a result of 3.2 by rotating the caster angle forward... Simple.. your so brain dead you don't RECALIBRATE for zero (baseline) caster and the machine tells you it has 3.2 when it actually has 4 + 3.2 or 7.2 positive caster..

That and the steering wheel is sitting cockeyed now.

I'm taking it to another store in that chain and seeing if they have someone with half a clue. Thankfully the alignment came with a 12mo

12,000 mile warranty.

This is one of those infuriating times when I wish I had the equipment here to do the job myself.

Speaking of DIY, Looking at the links show deflated and cracked grease boots. Gonna have to replace parts anyway. If the mechanic was doing the job rather than the time that should have been brought to my attention.

.bah.

that and a tape measure is all I ever need. KH
