Where are the extra 3 speakers located on a 7 speakers system in a wrangler. I have a 4 speaker system, 2 on dash and 2 on the sound bar.
Thanks,
john

And just how are you supposed to set the "cabin equalization curve" with the crappy Jeep tone controls? I've got one of those systems and to say that "it totally sucks" is paying it a compliment. The only thing that system is good for is taking away most of the functionality of the center console.
A-F**KING MEN!
Without a doubt the worst sounding system I have heard in memory.
I am told, that you can replace the speakers with clarion speakers and it will enhance and seperate the music pretty well. I'm seriously considering it for the dash and bar speakers, I sure wish that sub-dog-woofer was somewhere else other than taking up 98% of my center console. You can't get anything but an Altoid can in there.
Kate
Sis, why are you carrying around Altoids cans?
HI YA HANDSOME! How was Hawaii??
The Altoids licorice, they taste 'ok' but the smell in the vehicle is a good replacement for the leather smell I miss so much.
Oh, I have to email you!

In our F- Two Fitty it has a stock stereo, that sounds heads above the premium system in my TJ I have all the speakers, Sirius and the 6 disk changer. (MAN I miss the controls on the steering wheel from the Liberty!) Satellite radio is the bomb. When I first heard about it I thought it was stupid. "Why pay for something you can get for free" It turns out, it is something I am definitely willing to pay for. In the area where we live we only get about three stations, and two of them play religious music. Ok a slight exaggeration but the local stations are poor.
BUT
With the top off, you can't tell the difference one from the other. I happen to have especially sensitive hearing. I wish God had given me a great figure instead of great hearing, but those are the cards I was given so.... I like to hear things that are nice and clear with a well rounded bass.
Kate
You've GOT to be kidding. How in the world could the dealer use ANY kind of a "thingy" to adjust the equalization curve of the audio output of the radio???? And, No, I don't believe any of that garbage about huge speaker wire - OR oak encased bricks or cement blocks to put on top of my home receiver or amp to "dampen out distortion". I'll never understand those people or some of the bizarre things they come up with to enhance sound quality.
Hawaii was beautiful and peaceful... well.... once I abandoned the tourist areas......
I seem to recall Bruce left a lot of leather in that box of shoes and the trapeze he left for you.
Did ya rent a pink Jeep?!

Hey Frank. I listen to all kinds. Everything from Benny Goodman to ZZ Top Generally, my number one station is set on newer country. Next is a mix of
70s-80s-90s and third is the Jimmy Buffett station, after that is Old Time Radio and Comedy.CDs, generally a mix of stuff like ZZ Top, my own burns of mostly what I call driving music, (hard, fast beat, no screaming, no screaming guitars either, and words you can understand and sing along -very off key- with.)
Let me see... favorite musician. Now THAT is a tough call. For just MUSIC I mean -to listen to- I really enjoy Kenny G. Manheim Steam roller too. For Country, almost anything from about the mid 80's to present.. some of the new stuff is really fun. I hate tear in my beer music.
For driving, I liek things like Foghat, Thorogood, Z Top, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Diamond (Oh yea, I'm 40 something LOL) I don't think I HAVE a favorite. I loved Jim Croce, the Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkle, Creedence Clearwater (sp) and so on..
Now.. why do you ask?
AND
How about you, what do YOU listen to? Who is YOUR favorite artist?

:Now Frank, You KNOW I am going to head down to Serra Jeep, where they pretend to love me and always hug me when I come in. I am going to tell Rob, the service manager, that I want him to do this for me since they swapped out the single disk player with the 6 disk changer and HE is going to look at me and say something like:
Ms. Selby, you have GOT to stop screwing with me like this!
And I am going to tell him that Frank posted it on usenet, so it must be true.

Just Curious :-) What a coincidence. Your tastes are very similar to mine. I like everything EXCEPT disco, opera, and especially rap/hiphop. Jimmy Buffet!!! huge fan saw him twice. once in MountainView CA next in Toronto Canada. I'm missing my "Had to be There" Album Probably one of my fricken Nephews took it. buggers :-(
I guess my favorite (at the moment) is Chet Atk> Hey Frank.
Well.... lemma tell ya the story.....
I stopped by with my son-in-law at the rental yard because the Jeep he had a big-ol-nail in the sidewall and while I was there I asked about rentals. The girl said call the 800 number to get a better price than they could offer...
When I called the 800 number the next day I spoke to a very nice girl in India (or somewhere else where English is not the native language and they learned out of a book)
She had some difficulty with the spelling of my Americanized German name, (I had to spell it 27 times), where I was calling from (my cell phone has a local phone number), and where and when I wanted to rent a car.
I've dealt with rental cars before so I know the trick to ask for the micro sub-compact with the manual tranny, no A/C, or radio. (They don't actually have any so you get a free upgrade) I originally intended to ask for a Jeep as the free upgrade..
I got dropped off the next morning as I was assured that the car would be ready..... When I got there they could not find me under my name, my phone number, the date, the airport, or my confirmation number (the number was for a rental in Israel in September).
It took another agent to find my rental at another airport.. Turns out there were no available cars at that location as it was a holiday weekend. (there were actually no cars available at *any* of the companies at the airport, they checked!)
Since the 800 number gave me a confirmation (the number wasn't even close) they said they would find me a car somewhere. After a number of phone calls they found a car on the other side of the island.
What they gave me was a fully loaded Impala. I suspect it was not actually a rental car as I've never seen one this nice, I wonder how the rental company manager got around that week?.
