One of the studs holding the exhaust manifold on was stripped and barely holding on and has now disappeared into the distant dust of an isolated road.
I think the stud was about 8mm. Is it possible to drill it out and then tap it to 10mm or whatever the next size up is? Or should I take it to a garage and let them fit one of those "helicoil" thread repair things? Or is there another alternative?
