The abs warning light has been coming on occasionaly but resetting with ignition being turned off and then on. Usually after vehicle has been sitting for sometime ( it does only about 5000km per year ). Felt it may have been a battery voltage related issue as would only occur on initial start up and then fine for rest of the time. It now stays on all the time, visual inspection shows no apparent fault am wondering if there is a way of resetting or extracting error codes without trip to dealer. thanks in advance Rob

Same think happened to my '98 one. It is (apparently) a common fault which is caused by a faulty (or loose) ABS sensor on the wheel/hub
First time round the man in the know just pushed it in "nice and tight" but the fault came back fairly quickly so he replaced the sensor. Been alright ever since.
Sure someone more familiar can give you the "DIY" time/cost breakdown.

One has gone O/C on mine, theyre about £160 from LR, cheaper at Beamends circa £120. They do just push into the top of the swivel bearing.
