OK before you all think I am totally useless, please remember that I am disabled and totally non-engineering orientated. Right the bonnet on my beloved Disco has stopped popping open when the cable pull is used. I have checked the mechanism which is operating correctly in that it clears the 'bolt hole' with no problem. It seems that the spring has sprung? Would I be ok if I packed the spring housing with a few washers or would that cause more problems? Or do I have to buy a new spring?
