Anybody sold a car through CarData?

They are crap.

Basically they take your money and don't do much with it.

Stick with Autotrader, Exchange and Mart and your local freesheet. Between the three of them it'll cost you less than Cardata and you stand a much better chance of getting a bite.

I tell them (It's been a while!) it's sold... and for callers at the door offering double glazing .. were moving house... they don't seem to have worked out an answer for that one yet.

we had the whole house virtually rebuilt last year but still get, double glazing offers at the door, roofing offers and extension offers ( ;-) ). The only one we have'nt had is the offer to pay for it all !!!

Put it this way, whenever your looking to buy a car, have you ever rung cardata, i have not and don't no anyone else who has either.They must have seen your Landy advertised somewhere for then to call you.

There crap, they contacted me to see if they could advertise my Disco last year, started the conversation with "can I speak to the person selling the Discovery" there way of finding out if it is still for sale, I went for it as they said they had a database of potential buyers, there full of s**t.

Sold the Disco in Autotrader to a man 2 miles down the road.

Don't. It's a scam. They offer to refund you most of the money if they don't find you any takers, but no guarantee about selling it. They then send you a list of "potentials" which TBH probably have no interest in your car at all, simply a car in your category etc etc. Don't expect any money back from them at all.
