Axle dry as a bone!

Feb 03, 2005 3 Replies

Just got back from Japan & had a look under the 88" The repairs haven't worked for the porous rear axle & there is a nice oil slick in the works car park!!! I fear there is no oil in the damn thing now!

Anyone got a decent rear axle (not inc diff) I can purchase?

Preferably in Yorkshire near Leeds/Bradford!

Alternatively, how much for just a new case & how long/hard to swap it all over? If I do, what would I need apart from U bolts etc.

What repairs did you do? Have you checked where the oil's coming from.
