Freelander water pump.

In case anyone is interested.

Finally got the pump changed, cost best part of 500 notes, due to the inaccesibility of the damn thing.

Found Swinfield-copper is leiceter so had them do it, they seem to know their stuff. Wish i had found sooner.

Must be difficult .......... the part is only about £75 retail inc VAT.

Yeah apparently the engine had to come off its mounts and be supported.

Anything rigid (exhaust) had to be removed or disconnected.

The whole engine have to be moved up and down in the car to gain access to the bolts.

There is about 4 inches clearance between the pulley and the inner wing to get to to the pump.

7 hours labour they charged me, andit took them a bit longer than that!

Nightmare job by all accounts and the V6 is worse, say i am told.
