hit a bloody big pot-hole today and since then steering feels funny sometimes got to pull sharply left or right depending wot direction im going,cant see any play in track-rod ends????????any idea ty in advance

Most likely tyre damage.
On or around Mon, 1 Mar 2004 04:51:09 -0000, "mark" enlightened us thusly:
check the trackrod isn't bent, or a track-rod end bent. In other words, check the tracking. Heavy shock on one side can bend any or all of the linkages - trackrod ball stems can bend too, as can the rod itself.
but it sounds like tracking out, to me.
