How much to build a 110 from scratch.

If you build it within a certain timescale and can prove the use of production parts etc etc, then it can qualify for a current year plate. Somebody a while back built a Lightweight out of parts, and registered it on a R plate (ie 1995 or whatever)

Youve only got a couple of projects on the go at the moment, its only natural to be looking for another one :). You dont need any of that spare time or money!...

We've been decorating the house and moving loads of stuff into the loft. So far, if the landy mags were all piled on top of each other the pile would be getting for shoulder height or so on me... (theyre not in the loft above my bedroom!)

however, if you get bits from a donor, then that reduces the cost.

I have to wonder why you don't just buy a 110 though...:-)

Thank you Derry, yes indeed I rebuilt it, it's not mine though - I rebuilt it for my father.

Just in the door - I had to go down to see BT bods at Ipswitch the last couple of days and help them play with their toys.

I'll get some pics, words and figures sorted next week and get them online somewhere....

I think I would rather build a series from scratch, wouldn't matter if I made a traditional BL friday afternoon job of it would it.

Pretty much been there and done that....

I'm thinking something modern for creature comforts yet practical enough for my tinkerings.

I love the look of the 88 and 90 but with two kids they just aren't practical. We had a near miss in Percy last week under hard braking for yet another fighter pilot on the estate. The result was my little girl smacking her head on the bulkhead.. Kind of put a differenlt light on side facing seats.

At least a 110 would have forward facing seats... but after todays escapades I'm thinking of throwing in the towel with ageing Landrovers as attached to them as I am, I think I'm having a mid life crisis!

I'd still buy one and work on it though. Build-from-scratch is a huge amount of work. When I got my 110 CSW it was cheap 'cos of missing seats. with a bit of work, I fitted a whole set of sierra seats which are much better than the originals.
