is Inner wing perforation an MOT fail on a Rangie classic?

Mine is booked in on the 21st, and the previous MOT runs out on the

26th, and now the crud is falling away, I've noticed quite a large hole just below the lip where the outer meets the inner wing.

I will get it sorted, but not being a welder myself, using the rangie as a daily, and not knowing a pro welder, can I get it fixed later, or does it need doing pre-test?

Its unlikely to be an issue in that position the inners are not structural and as long as the wing is secure it should be ok (the tester should just give you an advisory). If the battery was about to fall through a hole in the inner or it was rotting up to the bulkhead thats a different matter as the brake servo and pedal box are attached and might compromise the braking hell pop round if its bugging you and I'll plate it. :-)

I'm going to see a mate in Liverpool on Saturday, and he is sorting a tyre for me, and is in the trade, so if he knows anyone who can sort it I get them onto it.

Looks like the passenger side has been done already, and there has been some work done arround the battery area too.

The last owner was an RAC officer. He said that the bit arround the battery was all he could think might cause issues.

But I didn't see the split then.
