Knackered radiator

Jul 01, 2007 5 Replies

My rad had a major leak this afternoon on the M40 and I ended up being recovered. is still possible to get radiators repaired. If not does anyone know where I can get a used replacement in the Midlands. It's a 300TDI engine and Craddocks only seem to list it with the intercooler. Cheers, John

I bought one for my old 300 tdi disco about 2 years ago in boston from boston radiators. I think they made it for me. IIRC several spared shops listed them. I think it was about =A3100.

I always use my local radiator specialist. Look in the yellow pages for one near you. However - it costs more to get a rad recored than to get a new pattern one! (£110 vs £85 for my old saab).

I had a 25 year old leaky saab radiator fixed when i was skint 2 years ago and it cost me £30. It needs proper replacing now as the car is running too hot (when it is sunny anyhow!)

The intercooler is a separate part... Tried Beamends?

Serk Marston might be a place to try if they have a branch near you.
