My Defender has started just about every morning since 1996 when I bought it, has broken down once and costs next to nothing to maintain.
Most of the problems on the site you pointed at seem to be ABS problems.
I'm afraid that if you buy a car full of computers you get everything you deserve...

You can find all sorts of shit about all sorts of vehicles. NOTHING is perfect, there are lemons.

Mine's either failed to complete or start the journey four or five times. In 25 years.... And it was well into its teens when I bought it.
Average total maintenance cost is about 300 quid a year, but this year's fouled that up by spending over 3000 on fitting a new chassis.
Hardly unreliable, I feel.
