Tell her we'll have plenty of booze on hand. Tim is currently filtering the bottle of Pimms :-)

Pimms is now in stock (and hardly any bits of glass in it at all). Lemonade is on order from Tesco. Two crates of lager hiding under the Series 2 (for emergencies).

Fuel filler pipe in stock, not as yet fitted :-(

LRO website pitifully unclear about how they classify a 101 plus a Discovery - is it a car + caravan or two cars. If it's the latter we won't be going on principal. Although I'm not quite sure why we even bothered paying for Billing - we drove straight in at 6am to a cheery wave from the bloke on the gate and set up camp.

Just have to hope that Warren doesn't break the Discovery tomorrow! You might want to turn the radio up - there are a few jobs on his list which might turn the air blue from Bramall Lane to Ecclesall Road...

Does anyone know what the dog policy is at Peterborough - presumably they are OK as long as they don't eat anyone?

Sounds delightfull! I'll tell Mum - she'll drink anything after years of sampling my Dad's various alcohilic offerings, although she does like a nice bottle of whiskey. His homebrew beer was probably his best effort although he did make wine as well, some of which was drinkable. It generally used to get mixed up into a kind of punch when ever Mum and Dad had a party, put into a beer keg with a tap on it. I can vaugly remember lying underneath it once, when I was about 17 and my brother turning the tap on....but that's about it until I woke up the next day feeling very ill.

Now there's an idea. We have an empty beer keg lying around at work somewhere! Anyone know how many bottles of Pimms to fill a beer keg?

Coffee Filter paper, a funnel and another empty bottle - did this once with a bottle of vintage port. Got the bits of glass out as well as the sludge at the bottom. Good job I dropped it over a bowl really - it would have been a terrible waste.

Is this so that my Mum can just sit there with a bucket of what ever and not have to bother with a refill?

Took ours last year with no problem. Kept the dog and Isaac on a lead;-)

I know that Dad mixed a couple of bottles of parsley wine(vile but very strong) with at least three bottles of orange wine(even stronger-tasted lovely with several cartons of orange juice to make the punch. I think a bottle of gin went in it too - a big one, if that's any help.

We'll have a go. you'll be weighed down with Pimms tho' ;-)

What time are you thinking of leaving?

The last time I drove to Peterborough in the 101 it took me 9 hours!

I reckon we'll be ready early afternoon, so a rendezvous at Woodall Services anytime after 2pm would be a winner I reckon.
