It is a specialist product which is not generally discounted. The cheapest thing to do is to do without it. If it is cost effective, then use it. If not, don't.

excellent for lubing the pump though and really quite cheap when you consider how lonhg it lasts. Sure i paid about £ 3-50 for a bottle which lasts about three months. Learned not to put it in each time as I overdid it and it built. Gave a wonderful smoke screen on hills though.
How do you know and to what advantage? Does it turn any easier? Does ordinary diesel cause pump failure or lack anything that the Miller product replaces or adds to practical advantage?

Hardly any need to find a discounted source then I would have thought.

Hmm.

There's a variety of diesel additives, and the only sort I've ever used is injector cleaner. It's not always going to make a difference, but I reckon it's worth a try before getting spanners out.

ATF certainly works on my trusty Deere. Stops white smoke at a cold start. Only needs doing once per year. A quart in 21 gallons does the trick.
I have tried Forte diesel conditioner in the Land Rover and Land Cruiser. There was a noticeable decrease in black smoke under load on the LR and a noticeable increase in performance with the LC. So they certainly do something. I have not continued to use this product but might be tempted to the occasional tipple.

I'd agree with this ..
I use the same stuff, and an Injector cleaner, roughly every 6000 miles or so (done it once on current vehicle) and it seems to have a noticeable improvement in all aspects of use.
I've been to Millers in Brighouse and it was £6.77 at the local acc shop it was £6.95 I think there. were stalls on Huddersfield auto jumble selling it cheaper.

one of the local garages uses the Forte stuff on things that won't quite pass the MOT smoke test, with good results, so I hear. Perhaps I'll treat the disco to some one day.
