New toy arrived, now down to work.

Hello all. After a 3 year stint with a disco 2, I have had enough of leaking sun roofs, iffy ABS which more often than not has the three lights on the dash.

Must admit that the chipper TD5 is fun though.

So yesterday my new toy arrived in the shape of a 110 CSW, with galvanised chassis and a GMC 6.5 V8.

The vehicle is a little tired in the body department ans the suspension has seen better days.

Need to fit new front springs as the ones on the vehicle were past their best a LONG time ago.

Anybody know of any good very hevy duty 110 front springs suitable bearing in mind the added weight of the GMC engine and the pending fitment of front winch bumper?

Have checked various web sites, but they seem reluctant to give specifications ie. pounds / KG per inch, so I am a little in the dark, ideal spring would also give a plus 1 or 2 inch lift above standard ride height, but standard is ok.

Thanks in advance

Simon

OK, done a little more searching and seems that heavy duty front springs for a 110 are probably the way to go, being that they are genuine, cheap and specifications are available .

Also toying with the idea of fitting discovery 2 spring isolators to the front as it seems a good idea.
