Just changed all filters and oils on my Disco, 'cept for gearbox and axles which I'm doing this weekend and found the air filter all crumpled up.
It was inside the airbox, had been put in correctly (I know 'cos I did it) but was squashed down and looked like a cloth that had been wrung out to dry.
Anyone any ideas why or how this might happen?
I _have_ been off-roading somewhat and fording floods, but nothing close to the bonnet or airbox inlet (I think) I'm guessing a 'wave' of water might have entered the air inlet and the vacuum from the engine sucked the water into the air filter causing the damage, but wondered if anyone else had any thoughts. Is what I thought plausible?
