That's a great video. Does anyone have a downloadable link to it, or have a way (FOC) to save a streaming video like this ?
Oooph, I dunno. Isn't polish going a bit far?
Indeed. I asked similar a few weeks ago, but the answer didn't help much at the time as I'm in lazy bastard mode, avin a slipped roundy hurty thing in my back :-(
Still giving you gyp ?
Steve
Not really. My Chiropractor got stranded in Denmark whilst visiting her parents (she got the date for the ferry wrong - she is blonde and pretty so I forgive her)...
Had a 1hr session today - heaven! I was given some Morphine by the Doctor to get me over 'the festive season', got to admit that 2 weeks of that left me a tad doolally - tis all a cloud, gradually clearing (my excuse in case I was rude to anyone...) :-)
Danish Chiropractor? Prolly that's wot put yer back out in the first place!
Did Hammond say the first Series one was permanant 4wd? Is that correct? TonyB
You've got my sympathy Martyn - I've spent the festive season suffering from the same problem. You've done better than I have in the chiropractor stakes though - mine is male, dark and ugly but bloody good at his job. Now he's back from his hols and has attacked my back I can move again so I guess I should get into swapping engines this afternoon so I can go out and play offrd.
or here, where there are a couple more videos, and some amusing pictures in the humour section (further down)

The very first one was of course a Jeep in wolf's clothing...
The first SI's (about 1500 if I remember right) were permenant 4WD.

I wish I hadn't watched that I've had an outbreak of Landroveritis again :-) proving why the Landy deserved to win the title of best car ever odd hamster presented it tho as the dishevelled May owned a landy? .BTW anyone blink and missed the grey Velar in the middle I would like to see more of that clip which I guess is off an LR promo film so if you have spotted a link for it please post as part of my therapy Derek
...and Derek spake unto the tribes of Usenet, saying...
No, Hammond is the LR fan. I think the S1 he's driving in the clip is his own. There was an article in one of the comics a couple of years back - he has (or had then) a S1 and a 110, and he raved about all the qualities he talks about in that clip. Sounded very sincere and a real fan - I've liked him ever since.
I think May is more the Bentley/Alvis/Bristol type.
That clip is enough to bring tears to your eyes.
And has been known to turn up at the odd Landie show over the years.
Funny things, celebs and landie shows. Celebs seem far less 'obvious' (cite Ray Mears sitting chatting on the 101 club stand a few years back - eveyone else just thought he were another sad, slightly overweight, geeky mate).
