Repairs in Lincolnshire - Sleaford Area

Feb 23, 2004 7 Replies

Hello all,

I've recently returned to the Landy fold, having bought an ex RN Bomb Disposal 110 SW. She does, however, require some welding to the front door posts, possibly a replacement rear chassis member and one or two other jobs.

Can anyone recommend a Land Rover -friendly outfit in the Sleaford (Lincs) area? I'd really value any help before handing the old girl over for the work.

Many thanks in anticipation,

Stuart.

Hi Stuart,

Not so local to Sleaford, but there is a woman in Besthorpe near to Newark On Trent (15 miles) who does a very good job at good prices - tel 01636 892

565 - Ask for Shirley.

Thanks very much... a recommendation is worth a lot. I'll give her a ring.

Stuart. (Remove the badger's shorts to reply).

Try S.A.M.S. in Heckington. They do everything from bikes to commercials, and that's where I have my Range Rover serviced/repaired.

They do a lot of Land Rover work, and a _lot_ of welding etc. - extremely reasonable rates as well.

They are in Heckington Business Park, just up the road from the station.

Good Luck,

Chris.

Good Luck,

Thanks for all the suggestions I've received.

Following Rog's recommendation of Shirley (Besthorpe Land Rover Services) near Newark, I paid her a visit today and booked the wagon in with her for the week after next. What a fascinating 'farmyard' operatoin she has there - and she certainly seems to know her stuff.

I'll report back when the worl's been done!

All your help has been well received. Many thanks.

Stuart

Nice One Stuart,

She is good, and she does know her stuff, I really should learn to keep that jewel of the crown to myself! when you need a part - she will have it somewhere!

commercials,
