RR 2.5DSE Poor Hot Start

My 1995 R.R 2.5DSE is reluctant to start when hot. It's fine when cold, glo-plug lights come on, starts first time. However when the engine is hot, the glo-plug lights do not come on and it takes an awful lot of engine cranking before it fires up.

The motor was fine until it went in for air con servicing, ever since it then it won't start easily when hot.

The dealer has checked all the engine temp sensors, fitted a non return valve in the fuel line, fitted an larger capacity battery. Still it is reluctant to start when hot. Any ideas/help gratefully accepted.

It seems to be a "classic" problem with the 2.5 DT motor. My local LandRover specialist told me that he can add a relay so glo-plug are used even on hot engine and that will solve the problem... Don't have done yet (crank time is "reasonably" long ;-), so I can't said more...

The boss at my lr dealer says this is common, the fix is a resistor in the temp system to "fool" the fuel pump to prime the pump and engine ususally starts

Same thing happens to my R.R. 2.5DT (P38a). When starting (hot) I just pump it a bit. but thanks for the tip.
