Vectra 1.9 CDTI bad starting when warm

Apr 13, 2014 2 Replies

Car is an 08 Vectra 1.9 CDTI hatchback 60K miles Starts great when cold, (left overnight). If started then short run, (ie school run) it turns over fine but has great starting until eventually fires If hot then not as bad to start but still not first time EGR valve has been cleaned twice and finally an EGR blanking plate fitted The type with a small hole in so that it doesn't cause the engine management light to come on Problem is still there so running out of ideas. As its a good cold starter did not suspect spill pipes Anyone seen this before and know the answer.

Thanks

Bob

spill pipes are the first port of call, injector seals and valve clearances next.

Thanks

For what it takes to do the spill pipes, I'll change them out.
