Got to fix some wiring, etc., but stuck on first base:
110 CSW 88/89: there are two threaded holes for a steering wheel puller, frustratingly they are *nearly* metric but not quite. I've found a bolt that fits (just one - more frustration) but I don't recognise the thread. Does anyone know? I've asked both my local independent Landy spares place and M.J.Fews (the local main agents). I could hear the shrugs on the other end of the line.
The bolt I've found has a depression in the middle of the head, with "CRF" and "S" marked on it. IIRC, the depression means UNF, but I'm unsure of the size. It's nearly a nominal 6mm diameter. I can swallow my pride and head to the local nut+bolt factor tomorrow, but they probably don't carry UNF anyway (if that's what it is).
Is there another type of puller, or a clever way to do this, avoiding too much violence and walloped thumbs?
Regards,
Simonm.
PS: Yes, I know I *could* hit it, but I've damaged steering columns in the past doing that and it really is the last resort.
