Theres a hole in my..

Got started on removing the rust in Miles boot bear in my that the description on Fleabay read "2 bits off welding in boot not that bad" which is why I didn't pay even close to the reserve price for what is essentially a project ( I skimmed the head as well)

A bit unbelieveable really. Based upon my ..........reading I would have expected the uniting of the gas and the flame to be a bit more, err, spectacular. Never failed in my.......... reading. Graham

ah, but fartman, like le Petomane before him, is producing his "special effects" by sucking in air, then expelling same, so the methane content is probably negligible

I didn't actually, but I already knew about le Petomane, and besides, no-one could contain that amount of gas.

I suppose he could prime himself with a footpump, before going on stage.

.. besides, he was arse-gulping it between rasps from the look of the way he was pumping his legs! Sometimes I wish I could turn off my inquiring mind.

Would that be William J LePetomane, of Blazing Saddles fame?

Thought not. I bought a book about Le Petomane when I was about fourteen. Fascinating. I suspect it was the kind of seminal reading that substantially forms the adult character. A bit like The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, but funnier. And with less sand.
