Yes, ticks over beautifully. Not enough power to reverse up the drive without low ratio though!

I need to get it running properly because the house is on the market and I don't suppose the next owners will want it on the drive!

Richard supplied the gasket kit weeks ago, so it's all about finding the time. And the torque wrench...

Today i finished removing the dashboard and all the wiring loom, and cleaned a lot of sand and rust off the dash and out of the heater pipes. Does anybody know how to remove a lucas heater/washer switch button from a dashboard? - the knob needs to come off somehow

I also broke the lid on my brake fluid reservoir and lost most of the threads off the reservoir itself (I only leant on it 'onest!). :( Now i need to find a replacement and more worryingly will have to bleed the brakes!

I've also got my head round how the hazard warning switch works! (thanks Alex!)

Being run to and from school on a daily basis, bloody handy at showing kids gearing theory and practice. They used to teach it with posters, I now teach it using a spare diff and gearbox, and then take them out to bURRt... Got to fill it up at the end of the week for the first check!

Extremely busy, have spoken to him several times over the last few weeks, he is flat out with work, flat out with a bad back again, and flat out with a cold!

Ooh goody, only 5 more weekends to get through!!

We are waiting for some 285/75 R16 from Sowden - promised in a week or so.

I had to pull out of the Macmillan at the last minute, I was down in London (Uxbridge) on business with the 101, then would have to drive to Manchester, then to Hereford and then rally - for only 3 hours sleep. I would have been lethal under those conditions.

We're hoping to do the 3C rally instead, courtesy of Simon.

For now. Give it a week or so and I'll start re-confirming everything. Will make an attempt at some firm numbers soon too.

Have been offered the services of a burger van at the off road site. What does anyone think. Doesn't cost anything, but obviously he would expect some trade.

Brewery is booked and deposit paid.

Field is still green

Shed is still standing

Landies are both buggered

So all in all I'd say we are getting there ;-)

Don't touch the brakes!!!

Bung on a new reservoiur (sp?) i't feeds from gravity so you should be fine once you fill it up.

Give Darren a ring, I had to buy 2 new lids... the rubber hose from one reservoiur is leaking and I'm sure it'll bust when I try and swap it. H'mmm time will tell.

Graham G uttered summat worrerz funny about:

I wunner be there but seems the communal BBQ is part of the whole thang and I'd expect demand would probably outweigh the fuel and gas to get set up unless he's a petrol head who likes a beer in a cold feild :-)

Roll on October (I'm sure we will have the Wind down meet again somewhere.... maybe I can get me book stamped properly this time.) Still Should be at Eastnor and Malvern fingers crossed. Keep up the Good work though Graham sounds like a cracking weekend!

Get it done! Its very easy!..

..and it will save me having to measure up for a tank from cargas, and while youre cutting up the angle iron for a tank bracket with your plasma cutter you can cut 2 lots up for me! ;) Mine is going on using the mounting holes for the battery box if possible.

Tom Woods uttered summat worrerz funny about:

It's just the cost of the initial outlay at the moment that is the spanner in the works whilst I juggle a few other bits and bobs... it will be done though as Morphs becoming more of a family truck now rather than an Ex Mil Ambi...

I fitted a shelf in the front earlier this week from some liberated scrap bits and some ply. Most impressed if I do say so my self :-) Had wanted a roof console but there is still the option for a smaller console below the shelf. Will take a couple of piccys later in the week.

As for the tank mounts no problem just give me plenty of notice and a few dry days... I don't like to plasma in the garage.... stictly alfresco.

Thats on my list. I keep meaning to go and buy a length of ally angle, so i can rivet on end/back supports and a front piece and drop a bit of wood into it. Definately fancy a picture of what youve done.

Tom Woods uttered summat worrerz funny about:

I liberated some of that shelving which uses steel angle and those screws and square nuts if you know what I mean. It was otherwise on it's way to the tip.

Bit each side above the doors to form a ledge then two bits screwed to the roof where the reenforcement is,,, then used the corners to drop two verticals and then hung the shelf from these...each end on the first bits mentioned. Then a nice bit of wood across the front to provite a 1 inch lip and a little decoration with out getting too MFi ish. Hopefully photos available Friday when I get a mo... I want to fix the CB bracket inside it nicely so that it's all tidy.
