My 91 ES250 has noisy valves when cold. Anyone know where I can get instuctions to adjust valves? TIA

Are you sure they merely need adjustments? Normally tapping noises when cold mean bad hydraulic adjusters. They go bad when the engine gets low on oil frequently. Check to see if you have hydraulic lifters. If so, there's no way to adjust them. Something to consider.
My understanding is that the process on this engine involves shims and can take a bit of work. Dealers certainly want to charge a fortune for it. The good news, from what I have read, is that they don't usually need adjusting very often. Hopefully somebody with real-world experience will jump in and give you some worthwhile guidance.
