What to look for in a used RX300

Any comments on differences between '99, '00, '01 models? What else should I be looking for?

Thanks! Owen

Make sure you have service records to verify oil changes have been accomplished at least every 5,000 miles.

This model is notable for an oil "gelling" problem which results in the destruction of the engine. It is critical that you verify that the oil has been changed at least every 5,000 miles and preferably documented by a Lexus or Toyota dealer. Otherwise, you should have a valve cover pulled to check for the problem.
