2 quick questions i hope you can help me with:

  1. What are the tyre pressures for a 1.8 Zetec Verona of said car?

  2. The Airbag warning light has started to flash when driving. It flashes 3 times then goes off for a second before flashing three times again. I have had a look at Mirez site (for mk1 mondeos) and it says "Complete failure of both airbag systems". Any idea of whats gone wrong and how much is going to be to fix at my local dealership?

Regards

The airbag light may be because of the seal belt pre tensioners multiplugs getting knocked which are under the two front seats as in where the passengers put there feet, mine did that i unclipped then and put them back together again worked fine for a while and had to keep repeating it every now and again,

Personnaly I would run 30 in the front and 26-28 in the rear, depending on if you cart kids / plants / junk / fat mother in law about or not. This will save scuffing the fronts quite so badly when manouvering.

otherwise read the manual for guidence. Then experiement 2-3psi up and down to find the right balance of grip/ride/wear/noise/loading etc etc etc.

Tim..

28-30 ish. Something like that. I prefer 32 for a firmer ride myself (2.0 Ghia).

I'd still try jiggling the seatbelt pretensioner connections under both front seats myself.

You've nothing to lose![0]

[0] Except a finger if you get it in the wrong place.

The airbag light flashing 3 times indicates a problem with a seat belt pretensioner.

- normally just a bad connection - check under the front seats.

I had a look at the front seats and gave the yellow plugs a jiggle..... and its fixed!

Thank you all!
