Alfa Romeo 75 V6

Sep 26, 2003 3 Replies

I'm going to look at a 75 V6 tomorrow and wondered what specific probs i ought to look for.

On the list so far is: Rust (obviously) Water pump Cambelt/idler

It's on an H, and sounds to be very straight (well the owner is very straight!) but is high mileage, around 150k iirc.

Obviously not worth a huge amount, but what would the experts here think is a a reasonable price given the scant info i've given!

Any thoughts (apart from, "Run away, these cars need an expert inspection!") would be much appreciated.

TIA,

Jon H.

I'm after one of them an all.... except I've got a garage full of 75 3.0 bits. (Not for sale)

In fact, it seems to be the same one...

things to look out for? Rot, back brakes, electrics, shagged bushes etc.

It's worth £650 - £700.

and if I was nearer to where Herr G lives, I'd be racing you to it.

oh bugger... There is a V6 motor on eBay if that's of interest.

Sounds like the front bushes need doing, but otherwise sounds sound IYSWIM

Blimey, I'm usually the one that just misses out, so you could be in with a shout! ;-)
