Anyone recommend a good VW specialist in West London?

Hi there - I have a 40k service due on my Golf TDI '52 coming up very soon and I have been told I should shop around for quotes and recommendations of specialist VW garages rather than get stung by the Dealers.

Any recommendations / god experiences from garages in West London that are VW specialists?

Well I had no problems at Wheelbase in Hersham (near Weybridge) but that's more Surrey/SW London than West.

Depending on how far West you're willing to go - my brother's work get all their vehicles (a fair old number of cars and vans) serviced at a small VW/Audi specialist on the edge of Staines, on the Wraysbury Road - right next to M25 J13.

They service all makes, but specialise in VAG stuff, and hence keep all their equipment very up-to-date. Sound like an honest bunch too - they'll say straight away if a job requires special tools that they don't have (i.e. certain cambelt changes), which is refreshing as a lot of garages will just have a go anyway, and invariably c*ck it up.
