Attempting to buy my first car, but it all seems confusing!

(Some nice people at another newsgroup, suggested I should get a lots of helpful advice here!)HiI'm based in the Southeast of England and I'm looking for my first littlecar. Something like a Corsa, Clio, Escort, Ka, a 1.2 litre, that sort ofthing. The more I surf the more confused I get about would be the best buy.I want to be able to get a car with a 3 years finance deal (with a depositof £2000) and buy a car between £5500 - £6000.Any suggestions you may have would be helpful.1. A good dealer2. A good finance package3. The type of finance package to avoid.4. Your suggested small car to buy for reliability5. The small car to avoid.6. I couldn' t agree more. My daughter is looking for her first car, and in her own words, "I want something I can break". Insurance co's don't charge a small fortune for nothing. By all means look on dealer forecourts, but also have a look on

and go to the auctions near you.There are an awful lot of cars out there and you'll be pleasantly surprisedwhat you can get for under £2k. If possible hang on until December, and thenearer Xmas the better when the pickings will be even better.
