Ok its time I traded the Audi in and got somthing more sensible, I really need a diesel as its costing me a small fortune to run 60 miles a day in the Audi so heres my list
VW passat 04 TDI -130bhp model
VW Bora 02-04 - TDI again
Vectra new shape
I want an Audi TT, and everything is telling me its going to be cheaper to run then my 2.6 as its only 1.8 but is it going to be that cheap?

Yeah - I was half tempted to splodge a wad on the S60R after being told about the nearly new prices on here but the thought of fuelling and maintaining it made me see sense. I cycled through the computer switch of the vRS on the test drive just to sneek a peek at the mpg and it was showing
Keep what you currently have, as any savings in fuel will take close on decades to put you back in profit once you've splashed out the thick end of £10k on changing the car.
But, say you spend £10k, it would take about 5,000,000 years to earn that back with the fuel savings. And ANY pimp factor you're hoping for is instantly destroyed when people hear your tractor engine and choke on the black smoke :) And TT's are gay. Get a nice RS4 and stop being a puff :D

Mondeo TDCi. Cheap as chips, rather bloody quick (for one of those things you put the "other" fuel in), better built than most new VAG produce.
i.e. I had to put yet another VW in for warranty work today, a Sharan that the drivers door was close to falling off. "04" plate, 2800 miles, no visible damage, just decided to fall apart. This is the 6th time in 2 weeks that a VW in work has needed major - as in "can't be driven" - work done on it out of the 10 VWs my branch has.
Polos - reliable Golfs - one lunched its engine, one had exhaust sensor failure causing management "limp home" mode, ABS loom failed on another (rubbed through by front wheel, retaining clip missing) Passats - Reliable Bora TDi - dead gearbox Sharan - door making break for freedom.
Whereas the Fords, Nissans and Peugeots (of which there are a lot more)
Nothing apart from a sticky fuel cap on a 2 yr old, 55k miles, 406 HDi.
I think the Bora TDI is ganna win guys :) its such a smooth looking car and if I can get the 130bhp one the deal will be done on Friday, I gotta then take all me gear out the audi, if i can get a 30k miler Bora, leathered up with climate in Black/negaro blue or maybe even silver then thats what I will go for, I recken an 04 should cost me less than 10k
You love that Audi, look at all the cool things you did, the interior lights, the HIDs, the awesome in car computer that was featured in the PC Format!!
Don't sell it, it's great! What you need to do is by a £1k or £2k (at a push) diesel, loads of them around and some surprisingly good minters too. There you will actually see fuel savings and the depreciation will be negligible so the money will be tied up in the car won't devalue or be subject to interest and that's it. Plus you get to keep the amazing Audi :D
Oh and try to get a low miler if you can - people say "diesels are capable of huge mileages" but the rest of the car is exactly the same as one with a petrol engine - all of which will suffer the ravages of time just as badly... unless you buy one that's got to "that age" where everything's been replaced by previous owners already and is good for another lifecycle - next stop engine failure (but with a diesel that's a long way off).
